We started off the new year with an exciting celebration at the Cool Fool Kite Festival at Veterans Park in downtown Milwaukee, WI. For over 20 years we have been creating sculptures on New Years Day for our amazing partner Scott Fisher, the owner of Gift of Wings and host of the festival. So many people come out to ring in the first day of the new year, and we are always happy to create an entertaining element to add to the event.
This year we constructed an interactive snow slide for families to come out and enjoy -in addition to the kites and food offered by Gift of Wings. We moved 25,000 pounds of snow to create two six-foot high chutes. Many happy kids and adults used the sleds we provided to take a little joy-ride at the Lakefront! We added a little chameleon to the front of the slide for some extra charm and a new years photo-op for festival goers.

We are grateful for the many partners we have, and we are looking forward to being a part of many events this year. The month of January will be very busy! Abobinable will be kicking off the Waukesha, WI Janboree with an “Out of this World” snow and ice sculpture at Lowell Park. Later, we head to Lake Geneva’s Winterfest to create a snow slide and tunnel in a new “Kid’s Zone” for a fun family experience. Stay tuned as we post about all of the winter fun we will be a part of!
These are just of few of the events we are looking forward to being a part of this year. Abobinable Snow Ice and Sand loves to blend creativity, artistry, engineering and fun into our creations. It was with joyful optimism that we started the new year- creating a slide and many happy memories for those who visited – and we hope to continue making those legendary experiences for everyone and every event we partner with!
